Basic Mobile Rummy is the simplest card game ever. It can be played by two to six players with a deck of 52 cards. Seven or nine cards are distributed to each player and one card is turned up on the shooting blanket; the remaining cards are left face down to form a stack of cards. Players have the option to draw a card from the stack  and try to form either three or four cards of the same rank or a straight line of two or more in the same suite and the one who does this first takes all the money. That’s it! The cards are ranked as K (high), Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and Ace. This is not a universally accepted card ranking, but it is the most followed one. The basic game rules are accepted by most Mobile Rummy sites where it is offered in multi player format. Bets are placed by all players and the winner takes it all. The house keeps 10%-15% of the bets placed and this is called the ‘rake’. Many sites that offer Mobile Rummy also hold tournaments which can be quite competitive but a lot fun. How Rummy is played

The game requires no croupiers; in fact players can themselves handle the scoreboard. It is started with the player on the left side. The player who picks a card from the discarded stack needs to put a card back so as to keep the card count even among the players. When the player makes a valid sequence, he or she wins the game.

What makes Rummy so different?

Nobody till today can tell about the origin of the game. Some believe that it was invented somewhere around the end of the 19^th century in Spain, but it hasn’t been proven yet. There are more than 15 types of Rummy variants and some of the famous once include Indian and Gin Rummy.
